<hotograph by Carleton alum Sebastian Meyer ’02 was recently in an exhibit at the Mpls Photo Center. According to the Mpls Photo Center, their “Call for Portraits” drew more than 200 entries, many from within Minnesota but many more from around the United States and from countries as far as Sweden and Australia.” Meyer’s photograph was among the 84 that were chosen for the exhibit which on display throughout the month of January.

Meyer is a photojournalist currently based in Iraqi Kurdistan. In 2004, two years after graduating from Carleton College with a degree in French literature, Meyer moved to Manchester, England and he began shooting for The Manchester Evening News. In 2006 he moved to London and in 2009 he moved to Iraqi Kurdistan.

Meyer’s work has been published in The New York Times, Sunday Telegraph, Sunday Times Magazine, The Guardian, The Independent Magazine, The Economist, Elle Belgique, Psychologies, BBC, LA Times, Life.com, Science Magazine, Penguin Press, Random House, Afar, and The Globe and Mail.
