<llege Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its Scholar All-America Team honors for the 2018 fall semester, and both the Carleton College men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs were once again honored. This award is presented biannually, once for the fall term and again for the winter term/spring semester.
In order for an entire swimming and diving program to earn the Scholar All-America award, squads must have had a combined team grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale and maintain a roster of 12 or more student-athletes.
The Carleton women’s team posted a cumulative 3.55 GPA for the fall 2018 term. That figure was 25th-highest among NCAA Division III squads. Meanwhile, the Carleton men’s team recorded a 3.42 cumulative GPA over the same span, ranking 22nd in D-III.
Carleton is one of four MIAC schools to have both its men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs honored by the CSCAA this time. The Knights are joined by Macalester College, St. Olaf College, and University of St. Thomas.
