Now that you are an experienced alumnus, what’s one thing you might have done differently during your college life to aid you towards achieving your greater goals (ex: networking earlier? utilized career center? taken gap years or gone to grad school sooner? etc.)
One thing that I would have done better is to increase my networking and knowledge of career options and opportunities while at Carleton. I feel that I shold have spent more time reaching out to current alums to get help establishing myself for post-Carleton. I never went to graduate school. I preferred to go directly to work at a for profit business.
What is your favorite story from your time at Carleton?
My favorite story from my time at Carleton is how my Carleton roommates helped me find proper winter clothing since I was a transplant from Florida and had never traveled north of Georgia.
What was the best part/worst part about the year after you left Carleton? How have you and your friends kept in touch? Did you move to places close to one another? How have you made new friends?
I maintained some of the relationships that I had with people during my time at Carleton, but others drifted. Our 25th reunion was a great opportunity to renew friendships.
