GoP punched its ticket to nationals by finishing 2nd at D-III Regionals last weekend, with a 4-2 record. GoP is headed to D-III nationals in Appleton, Wisconsin 8th weekend. This is the team’s second trip, and their first since winning the DIII title in 2010. GoP is likely to have a high seed at Nationals.
Syzygy narrowly missed out on Nationals for the first time since 2003. The loss to Iowa State, 13-11, in the 3rd place game, marked the second time since the establishment of the women’s championship that the team has failed to qualify. Sygyzy’s 23 qualifications since 1988 is the most in the women’s division.
After dominating the competition at regionals, Eclipse will also travel to Appleton, WI to participate in D-III nationals. With the likely No. 1 seed, Eclipse will look to defend last year’s national championship.
