<r the second straight year, Carleton College sophomore Kathryn Schmidt ‘12 was among 32 single players selected by the NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Committee to compete at the NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships. The Carleton sophomore returned to the national spotlight this past fall as she won the ITA Midwest Regional and finished fifth at the ITA Small College Championships.

Schmidt was tabbed All-MIAC at both singles and doubles once again in 2010, and she has gone undefeated during league play at both types of competition during her first two seasons. She ended the regular season with an impressive 15-1 overall singles record against Division III opponents, including a 4-1 record versus regionally ranked challengers.
