<yoff starts for softball this week. The number one seed is See Ya Never, who is undefeated. Playoffs will be in the World Baseball Classic format with two groups. The final game is scheduled for Friday, May 29th.
And in a particularly exciting frisbee matchup, we have Substance Freedom vs. Yellow Fever. Substance Freedom earned its first victory, beating Yellow Fever 11-7 with a boost from gender ratio (SF had a 9-2 girl advantage). Brendan Grant, Jon Aranda, Sean Beckwith, Kristine Nachbar, Clare Costello, Jamal Adam, and Michael Coughlin each scored.
Shoutouts to Brendan’s astute play call (whoduh thunk to throw it to Jamal?), Phil Fonseca’s banana and hammer, Sean and Jaranda for playing out of their minds, Anna Swanson’s generally flawless play and the entire team’s effort. Yellow Fever also played a fun and fair game with and had lots of energy.
