<men’s soccer squad has come into the 2008 season with high hopes.Their first game was against Lawrence University, which the Knights won 7-0, with a pair of hat tricks from senior Nicky Bloom and first-year Cassie Burke. The Knights notched another win at home over Lake Forest College with a 2-0 victory. They came up short against #24 University of Chicago first, losing 1-0 in the last two minutes. After a strong performance, the Knights fell to Wheaton College 2-0, but not without a fight and some scoring opportunities of their own.

After a month of strong competition, the Knights started MIAC play by beating Macalester 2-1, and then defeated St. Bens 2-0. The Knights then traveled to Concordia College, but could not pull off the win, losing 2-0. Their next game proved to be another challenge for the Knights, falling to St. Thomas 2-0. With a record of 2-2 in the MIAC, the Knights have high hopes for the rest of their season and conference play. They take on the Gustavus Gusties on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Bell Field.
