<men ‘s basketball team had a fantastic season, highlighted by a trip to the NCAA tournament. The Knights advanced to the NCAA by winning the MIAC playoff with a thrilling 53-50 overtime win over St. Thomas. Junior standouts Sarah Lincoln and Hannah Oken-Berg and sophmore Amber Connor were all named to the first team All-MIAC.Freshman Ally Weaver was named to the all rookie team. Oken-Berg also became the 10th player to reach the 1,000 point mark.
The 2007-2008 men will be remembered as a team that peaked at the right time, with the return of point guard Jeremy Sutherland from a hand injury spurring them to six straight wins before their season ending loss to Gustavus in the semi-finals of the MIAC playoffs to end their season 19-8. Senior Tommy Drake and junior Zach Johnson were both named to the All-MIAC first team and both of them reached 1,000 points in their Carleton career.
