    <ong>Acclaimed Author, Filmmaker, and Science Advocate to Speak
    Shawn Otto, an acclaimed author, filmmaker and noted science advocate, whose book “Fool Me Twice: Fighting the Assault on Science in America” (Rodale Books, 2011) is the winner of the 2012 Minnesota Book Award for general nonfiction, will appear at the Carleton College Weitz Center for Creativity Cinema on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.

    D4D training to be held at Carleton this Saturday
    Debating for Democracy (D4D) is a one-day training program held at Project Pericles campuses around the country.  It is designed to provide novice and seasoned activists with the tools and tactics they will need to get their message across to elected officials, community groups, and the media. The Center for Community and Civic Engagement (CCCE) is hosting a training session this Saturday in the Great Hall from 10am-4pm.
