    CSA Senate exists to represent you! Here are some of the questions we tackled this week.

    RUN FOR CSA SENATE!
    • In addition to the SEVEN at large senate seats, there will be elections for President, Vice President, and Treasurer.
    • Senate is fun, exciting, and promotes healthy bones!

    What are the new Graduation Requirements going to look like?
    • The faculty are currently discussing new graduation requirements which will affect incoming classes.
    • You can read about the requirements on the Moodle Curricular Review
    • CSA Senate passed a resolution endorsing the following changes:
    o Full PE credit for approved Club Sports
    o Reduction in the total distribution credits required.
    o Conceptually oriented requirements in place of department oriented requirements.
    o Inception of a unified freshmen seminar.
    o Creation of the Quantitative Reasoning, International Studies, and Intercultural Domestic Studies Programs
    • CSA Senate also strongly encouraged the redesign of the Writing Portfolio

    Why did Bon Appetit do a Rebid?
    • Representatives of Bon Appetit came to speak about the recent union rebid.
    • Some dining hall workers were unhappy with the position they were working.
    • Workers were allowed to rebid, or ask for different positions, based on seniority.
    • Some workers had their weekly hours decreased from 40 to 37.5
    • Bon Appetit said that they are committed to developing productive relationships with the employees.
