<ong>Carleton to Present Performance by Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
Carleton will host a guest artist concert by the acclaimed Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO) on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. in the Skinner Memorial Chapel. The performance, led by eminent English conductor Paul McCreesh, features the SPCO debut of English tenor Robert Murray.  Tickets for this not-to-be-missed performance will be available at the door.

African History Authority to Present Carleton College’s Winter Lefler Lecture
Michael Gomez, one of the United States’ leading experts on the history of Africa and its diaspora, will deliver the Winter 2012 Herbert P. Lefler Lecture in History at Carleton on Monday, Jan. 30 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m in Leighton 305. Entitled “Early West African History through a Different Optic,” his talk will explore the history of the region and its relationship with Islam.

Free Sex Advice with Francisco
Francisco Ramirez, MPH, recounts the joys of offering “Free Advice on Relationships, Sex and Dating” to the public in New York City parks, then answers your anonymous questions on sex and dating on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 8:00 p.m. in the Weitz Center Cinema. Ramirez will also be holding his “free advice chair” 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in Sayles on Friday, Feb 3. This event is part of the GSC Winter Term Sex Ed Series.
