The Career Center’s 30 Minutes program gives students the opportunity to meet with alumni in a given field for casual, candid, 1-on-1 conversations. It’s as simple as that. Given working fields represent a wide variety of interests from law and medicine to public health and environmental careers.
Andrea Simenstad ’13 recently met with alumnus author and journalist Dennis Cass ’90. After their conversation, she told the Career Center that she had a “compliment” for us: “I just did my first ’30 Minutes’ conversation and went back to my room and told my friends that they had to do this. It was easy and not scary and it’s good to know how to have an informal, yet somewhat professional conversation about career ideas.”
The 30 Minutes program runs each term weeks 3 – 7. The remaining working field this term is Film and Media. For spring term, working fields will cover: Food/Agriculture, Counseling Psych, Computer Science and more! Check out the Career Center website for alumni bios and to sign up for a slot!
