<ur Carleton students, senior Jabir Yusoff, junior Sarah Pinkham, and sophomores Lorenzo Najt and Daniel Peck, had their proposal accepted by the Yale Experimental Philosophy Month competition. The proposal was for a follow up project to the QUIRK Initiative Fellowship that the four completed last summer. The group is examining whether or not intuitions on personal identity vary across demographic differences. Over the summer they worked with Associate Sociology Professor Annette Nierobisz as well as Assistant Professor of Philosophy Angela Curran.
Now that the proposal has been accepted, they will work with an experimental philosopher to help with their research. They will continue with an on-line survey in the spring to collect data.
