Quick look at the flood damage

<s to be replaced. No track and field meets will be held at Laird Stadium during the 2011 outdoor season.

LAIRD STADIUM : Almost 2 feet of water flood the lower level of the building.

FOOTBALL FIELD : Unlikely for any more games to be held at the field this season. Homecoming Game for Saturday has been moved to Memorial Field at Northfield High School.

WEST GYM : Damage to mechanical and electrical systems; building unusable for next couple weeks. Pumps for Thorpe Pool need to be assessed and repaired/replaced.

WEST GYM FIELDS : Still underwater; condition uncertain.

ARB: Crew removed piles of sand and silt on Thursday morning to survey erosion.

STUDENT HOUSING: Geffert, Prentice, Allen and Wilson Houses were evacuated, relocating 31 students. Damage done to drywall; some hot-water heaters need replacing.

FROGGY BOTTOMS: Basement flooded; electricity out; $200,000 estimated damage; will take “months” to rebuild according to owner David Hvistendahl.
