The goal of this specific day, coordinated by 350.org, was to influence the leaders who will be writing a new global treaty on cutting emissions this December in Copenhagen, Denmark. The number 350 has been significant ever since scientists determined that 350 parts per million of CO2 is the safe upper limit for our atmosphere.
