Women’s Track and Field
The Knights sent three athletes to the Drake Invitational on April 25 and came back with excellent times. Sophie McManus ’25 moved up to fourth on Carleton’s all-time list with a time of 10:53.57 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, her third PB (personal best) of the season and improving to the 18th-best time in the country this season. Mary Blanchard ’24 matched her former school record with a time of 2:12.16 in the 800-meter event, while Helen Cross ’24 broke 17 minutes in the 5,000-meter event with a time of 16:52.55, moving up to fourth on Carleton’s all-time list. Neenah Bosman ’24 opened up the team’s efforts at the Janis Rider/Douglas Bolstoff Invitational at Macalester College on April 25 with a seventh-place finish in the hammer throw, recording a distance of 42.92 meters. The rest of the team competed at Macalester College on April 27, with eight top-five results; Blanchard with a runner-up finish in the 400-meter event (59.78, a collegiate best), Lara Erickson ’25 placed second in the 800-meter event (2:18.58), Riley Roberts ’24 finished fifth in the 100-meter run (13.02 seconds) and fourth in the 200-meter dash (26.6 seconds, a PB), Emma Trojan ’27 tied for fifth in the high jump (1.35 meters), Libby Rowland ’25 finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles (69.6 seconds, a PB), the 4×100-meter relay ran 50.73 seconds for fourth place, and the 4×400-meter relay ran 4:09.8 for second place.

Men’s Track and Field
The Knights sent their athletes to the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on April 25 and 27. Thursday saw six runners race in the 5,000-meter event, with Chris Melville ’24 (15:45.46) and Simon Chambers-Trumbach ’27 (15:51.46, a one-minute PB) highlighting the night in the top eleven. The rest of the team competed on Saturday and had seven top-ten results. Indy Lyness ’26 won the 400-meter event in his collegiate debut with a time of 50.85. Liam Kennedy ran 51.85 seconds for sixth place and Ian Scott ’25 placed ninth with 52.63 seconds. Ian Mortensen ’24 threw 11.98 meters for eighth in the shot put and had a PB throw of 36.02 meters to place ninth in the discus. Asher Nathan ’27 placed fifth in the 200-meter event with a PB of 22.96 seconds. The 4×400-meter relay ran 3:28.08 for fourth place.

Softball
The (13-19, 4-14 MIAC) Knights had four games over midterm break, recording a split with Hamline University on April 27. Rachel Block threw a shutout in game two, giving the Knights a 6-0 victory, after falling 2-5 in game one.
Baseball
The (10-20, 7-10 MIAC) Knights were swept by St. Olaf College on April 27, falling 5-9 and 7-9. Sam Zacks ’25 and Sam Gossard ’26 highlighted the team’s performance with three hits each across the two games.
Men’s Golf
The Knights finished fourth with a total team score of 593 at the St. John’s University Spring Invitational on April 27 and 28, with a 287 on the first day and 306 on the second day under difficult weather conditions. Sam Higaki ’27 finished the 36 holes with a one-under-par 142 and a fifth-place rank overall. Gordon Walker ’26 tied for 14th with a six-over-par 149, Ryan Choi ’25 totaled 150 or seven-over-par, and Justin Rodriguez scored a nine-over-par 151.
Women’s Golf
The No. 20 Knights were only able to complete one of two days of the St. Olaf-Carleton Invitational on April 27 due to bad weather. The team’s eighteen-hole score was 316, one stroke behind St. Olaf in second. Carter Sichol ’26 won the event with a two-over-par 74, Cynthia Lu ’27 placed fourth with a five-over-par 74, and Natalie Tatar ’25 tied Mindy Zhai ’27 for 15th place with a score of 82 strokes despite playing as an individual. Sarah Zheng ’26 tied for nineteenth with a total score of 83, with individual entrant Alyssa Soma ’24 totaled 84 over eighteen holes. Sichol earned MIAC (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Athlete of the Week honors for her performance.
Women’s Tennis
The (15-0, 10-0 MIAC and No. 17) Knights claimed a second-consecutive MIAC regular season title with a 9-0 win over the College of St. Benedict on April 28. Their regular season record was 89-1 in conference matches. Mary Hose ’24 and Amelia Asfaw ’25 improved to 10-0 in doubles on the season with a victory while Mariam Nechiporuk ’25 and Ingrid Smith ’24 also won their doubles match. Kat Smiricinschi ’27 and Ryann Witter ’27 notched the Knights’ third doubles victory. Zoe Rose ’25, Miriam Shteyman ’25, Kiley Pickens ’27 and Asfaw all won their singles matches, with Pickens improving to a team-best 15-0 record on the season.
Men’s Tennis
The (14-5, 8-1 MIAC) Knights completed their regular season with an 8-1 victory over St. John’s University on April 28. Zach Leslie ’26, Jack Rivkin ’26 and Yuv Kataria ’24 won both their singles and doubles matches. Baiyun Jing ’27 and Jasper Yang ’27 won their singles matches.
