< in the historic river town of Cannon River is the Cannon River Winery, which puts forth quality wine and prides itself in fusing traditional, local techniques with those of global influence. The hidden gem presents live music for free on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Starting Jan. 6, the winery will be featuring something new—Friday night music along with complimentary appetizers.
Besides being from Minnesota, the featured musicians and groups do not share common characteristics, particularly in style. They refer to different musicians and genres as inspirations, ranging from Bluegrass and Celtic to Jack Johnson and Simon & Garfunkel. The eclectic medley of music along with great wine should make these exciting occasions for Northfield students and residents looking for a special time.
