<rleton College football team made its longest road trip of the season, playing at national No. 23 Concordia College. Despite 100-yard rushing performances by quarterback Zach Creighton and running back Chris Madden, the Knights fell by a 34-7 score.
Carleton out-gained the Cobbers on the ground, totaling 273 yards on 38 carries, for an average of 7.2 yards per rush. The yardage total was the third-highest by the Knights over the last nine seasons, trailing only a pair of monster performances at Macalester College (296-yard effort on Oct. 12, 2013 and 307-yard total on Oct. 22, 2011.)
On Saturday, however, a trio of turnovers deep in Concordia territory prevented the Knights from making the final score much closer. The Carleton points came with less
than a minute remaining in the first half as Creighton found tight end Matt Mensinger for a six-yard touchdown.
