<n 18 hours after hosting its first home meet of the season, the Carleton College women’s swimming and diving team was back in the water for the Cows, Colleges, and Contentment Classic.
Sophie Pilhofer ‘13 was the top performer for the Knights on Saturday. The meet included a trio of deep NCAA Division II programs, limiting opportunities for the Knights to post top results. Pilhofer had the Knights’ best individual finish, taking 10th in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:37.31.
She also combined with Grace Cormier ‘13, Madison McBride ‘16, and Erin McDuffie ‘13 for a time of 1:56.33 in the meet-opening 200-yard medley relay.
The day concluded with Carleton taking sixth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:43. 02. Pilhofer led off and was followed by McBride, Brittany Salazar ‘16, and McDuffie. Carleton will next travel to St. Paul, Minn. to swim a dual meet against the University of St. Thomas tonight at 6 PM.Additionally, the Men’s and Women’s Swimming teams will host the Ted Mullen Hour of Power on November 13.
