On Tuesday, October 13, students from Carleton and St. Olaf, as well as Northfield community members, held a No Trump in Northfield and Black Lives Matter protest. Participants gathered in Bridge Square and then walked to the intersection of Division and 2nd Street holding signs and chanting to protest Eric Trump’s rally in the Northfield area happening that same afternoon. Protest organizers included the Ujamaa Collective, Carleton Sunrise Movement, Carleton’s Wellstone House of Organization and Activism (WHOA), Divest Carleton, the Carleton Democratic Socialists of America and the St. Olaf Climate Justice Collective.
