    <ong>CSA Candidate Debates

Debates will be held this next Wednesday from 7-9PM in the Great Space for spring election candidates.

Community, Equity, and Diversity Initiative Liaison Discussion (Reopened)

Last week the Senate voted against adding another CEDI liaison seat.  Representatives from the group once again approached the Senate on Monday to give additional reasoning to add the representative, emphasizing the fact that the seat would provide better communication with CEDI activities.  Talk about removing a different liaison position to make room for the seat ultimately led to the Senate approving the proposal.

    Learning and Teaching Committee Update

The committee announced that the leadership would change from Chico Zimmerman to Louis Newman.  Also, emphasis was given to the large number of initiatives they are planning, as well as their desires to involve more students in their activities.

    CSA Survey

Senator Heifetz presented the general survey on which he has been working.  Questions include issues on diversity sustainability, faculty retention rates, dining policies, library hours and other important issues the College is facing.  A small group has been formed to fine-tune the survey and they hope to get it out to students in the near future.

    Senator Updates
