A List of Rainbows and Smiles

<ir="ltr" id="docs-internal-guid-a1ac7776-5460-e1a1-415f-f931b25e8088">The election happened, it’s Week 9, and LDC chicken is still dry: needless to say, we could all use a few reasons to hope. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Things that give us hope this week:

Ilhan Omar (from Minnesota!) became the nation’s first Somali-American legislator on Tuesday. There were also a number of other firsts, including the first Latina senator (Catherine Cortez Masto), the first LGBTQ+ governor (Kate Brown), and the first Indian-American female House Representative (Pramila Jayapal).

Beyoncé still exists. And so does Lemonade. Both make us happy.

Ryan Gosling’s abs (specifically the ones from “Crazy Stupid Love”). They’re as hard as a rock, but more fun to stare at for extended periods of time.

Googling “pictures of puppies shaking in slow motion” (Googling Carli Davidson will also bring up a great array of photos).

The realization after falling down the stairs that you technically got to the bottom faster than if you had walked.

Unicorns have never been proven not to exist.

Justin Trudeau.

Millennials overwhelmingly voted for Clinton. So the future is hopeful.
