Women’s Track and Field
The Knights honored their seniors and won four events at the home Meet of the Hearts on Feb. 8. The 4×200-meter relay ran the 2nd-fastest time in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) so far this season, winning the event. Lara Erickson ’25 and Celia Silverstein ’26 ran personal bests (and the 2nd and 3rd fastest times in the MIAC so far this season). Maddy Reckmeyer ’28 ran a personal best to finish 3rd, Alice Islam ’28 tied for 3rd in the high jump, Charlotte Kusch ’28 won the 400-meter dash. Aliya Larsen ’26 set a 16.5-second personal best to finish 2nd.
Men’s Track and Field
The Knights honored their seniors and won four events at the home Meet of the Hearts on Feb. 8. Gabe Nichols ’27 swept the 3,000-meter run, breaking the Rec Center record. Gabe’s time is 18th in NCAA Division III so far this season. 2nd in the MIAC rankings and 4th in school history. Josh Meier ’25 was 2nd in the 800-meter run with a personal best time, and Daniel Schneider ’28 won the 600-meter run. Torte Tortensen `27 finished 2nd in the mile with a personal best. Ryan Bernstein `26 just behind in 3rd while James Gates `28 went into 6th in Carleton history with a clearance of 4.37 meters to win the pole vault over Soren Kaster `27, who was also the runner-up in the 55-meter hurdles, and the 4×400-meter relay won by 7 seconds.
Women’s Basketball
The Knights lost 61-91 to St. Catherine University on Feb. 8, with Addy Huss ’28 leading the team with 18 points and Audrey Whitney ’28 and Liesl McCallum ’28 both scoring 16 points. They lost 56-71 to Hamline University on Feb. 12, with Huss and McCallum scoring 16 points each to lead the team.
Men’s Basketball
The Knights lost 59-92 to Hamline University on Feb. 12. Luke Harris ’25 scored 15 points to lead the team.
Men’s Tennis
The Knights defeated No. 30 Carthage College five-two on Feb. 8 and Carroll University six-one on Feb. 9. Aiden Patel ’28 earned his first career MIAC Athlete of the Week honors for his performances. He, alongside Ezra Bernhard ’27, Jack Rivkin ’26, Zach Leslie ’26, Baiyun Jing ’27 and Jasper Yang ’27 won their doubles and singles matches over the weekend.
Women’s Swimming and Diving
The Knights competed at the University of Minnesota’s First Chance Meet and the Dodd Road Diving Invitational on Feb. 7-8. Hailey Westrup ’27 posted an NCAA Regional 3-meter, 6-dive qualifying score of 272.6 at home at the diving invitational. Grace Hou ’27 finished 3rd in the 100-yard butterfly. Brynn Ashland ’27 finished 11th with a personal best in the 100-yard breaststroke, with Stephanie Baranov ’26 finishing 15th in the same event, Jenna Drummond `25 tied for 19th in the 200-yard freestyle, Ava Roh ’27 and Lola Tarday ’26 finished 6th and 9th in the 200-yard butterfly. Nora Wooten `27 finished 14th in the 100-yard freestyle, the 400-yard medley relay finished 10th and the 400-yard freestyle relay finished 10th.
Men’s Swimming and Diving
The Knights competed at the University of Minnesota’s First Chance Meet and the Dodd Road Diving Invitational on Feb. 7-8. Hans Anderson ’27 posted an NCAA Regional-qualifying score of 469.5 on the 3-meter 11-dive board, earning the MIAC Diving Athlete of the Week Award in the process. Nathan Zhang ’27 finished 9th. Ethan Tun ’25 finished 4th in the 500-yard freestyle, and in the 400-medley relay finished 4th. Ethan Tun ’25, Collin Elderidge ’25, Aiden Jalil ’25 and Max Serota ’25 finished 4th, 12th, 15th and 17th in the 500-yard freestyle and took 4th in the 400-medley relay. Elderidge and Jalil finished 14th and 20th in the 200-yard freestyle and Serota finished 8th in the 1650-yard freestyle relay. Will Tan ’27 placed 6th in the 200-yard backstroke while Lee placed 6th in the 200-yard breaststroke. Gabe Rose `28 finished 8th in the 200-yard butterfly; and the 400-yard freestyle relay finished 3rd.
