<ong>Olaf to host community full day dance-a-thon
The St. Olaf College Dance Department is hosting a community-wide dance-a-thon from 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30. Inspired by the dance marathons of the 1920s and ‘30s, this event is an opportunity to celebrate dance with friends and family of all ages. There will be all types of music, from swing to disco to polka to salsa, plus dance lessons, guest performances and live bands. If you like a challenge, you can compete for prizes by dancing until you drop! Or you can just dance for fun, listen to the music, butter your fingers with popcorn and enjoy up to 24 hours of great dance movies. Whether you are a young mover, an old groover, or somewhere in between, come feel the beat and experience the joy of dance. Don’t forget your Halloween costume!
